I don't know what type of piston-cylinder press can take a 500mm experiment:-O My experiments were in a capsule of 2.3mm diameter and up to 5 mm long(outer measures, inside is ofcourse smaller), the capsules can get bigger, usually if you need multiple layers to get the right oxidation state for the experiments. The furnace types I have seen do not exceed 4cm in length, and you do not want your experiments to be more than a fraction of this length to prevent huge temperature gradients.[[User:Grissini|Grissini]] ([[User talk:Grissini|talk]]) 12:54, 19 January 2010 (UTC)Grissini |

Hello Grissini. I just expanded the Anvil press article. I didn't want to step on any toes, so I did my best to keep what was there. Please get in touch with me on this talk page if you want to roll back some changes or if you want to work together to refine the current version. PrimedoubleD (talk) 00:15, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
