Three schools left the conference and moved up to the University Division in the new [[Big West Conference|Pacific Coast Athletic Association]]. Those schools were [[California State University, Fresno|Fresno State]], [[California State University, Long Beach|Cal State Long Beach]], and [[California State University, Los Angeles|Cal State Los Angeles]]. They were replaced in 1970 by [[California State Polytechnic University, Pomona|California State Polytechnic College, Kellogg-Voorhis]] and [[University of California, Riverside|UC Riverside]] and in 1971 by [[California State University, Fullerton|Cal State Fullerton]]. |
