Plot
spoiler
It's Career Day at Skool and the children are all required to take inkblot tests that will choose their potential careers. Then they'll be paired with a matching adult and spend the day with them learning about their job. Having given answers like "ghost" and "Bigfoot," Dib is paired with a paranormal investigator, and Zim, having written "human slave" for every answer, is put to work at a fast food joint McMeaties. Before he leaves with his "teacher," a pimply faced kid, Dib noticed a strange rash on Zim's neck that he keeps scratching at. Dib's partner, a serious-looking man named Bill, initially dismisses Dib's claims of his own studies and they get going. Meanwhile at McMeaties, Zim's partner, Simon, tries to show Zim how to operate the machines, but Zim is more interested on how many promotions it will take to become ruler of the planet. Zim's rash is now worse, and pus starts to eminate from the boils on his neck.

Driving along, Dib doesn't seem to connect well with Bill, finding folders labelling Bigfoot, aliens and dinosaurs as being phony myths. He also notices a folder, explaining a "crackpot" theory Bill's colleagues have about the galaxies lining up at precisely 5 p.m. that day and causing all aliens living off their home world to experience a hideous molting. Dib suddenly realizes that Zim's rash must be the molting and tries to convince Bill to turn around and head for McMeaties. Bill only shushes him though as they arrive at their destination: a crop circle site. Bill ponders over its origins, then Dib points out a cow rolling around in the hay, creating the pattern. Over at McMeaties, Zim is serving fast food to an impatient customer, who tells him to hurry so they won't miss the equinox. Zim is startled at this, and demands Simon to let him go home, but he tells him if he does, he won't be promoted. Still believing this could be the key to his conquest, he stays.

Back at the crop circle, Dib is outraged at Bill's idiocy, sarcastically claiming that if he believes that the rolling cow is controlled by aliens, he might as well believe in Count CocoFang, the vampire cereal mascot. Bill responds to this and demands more information. Dib claims he'll be at McMeaties at 5 o'clock and the two are off. However, Dib did not realize that Count CocoFang would be signing autographs at a nearby grocery store. Despite his pleadings about Zim, Bill chases after CocoFang with a stake. At McMeaties, everyone's attention is drawn to the commotion outside as the clock draws to five and the planets aline. At first, Zim's face returns to normal, but it soon turns into a huge gelatinous mass that spreads out across the entire restaurant, filling it completely and pressing everyone against the outside glass. Dib is the only one who notices this, as Bill is busy chasing CocoFang. A few moments later, Zim returns to normal. Dib ditches Bill, and Zim is fired, after his molting left a tremendous amount of goo all over the restaurant.

Miscellanea
* The look of the McMeaties restaurant is changed from the previous episodes, as Jhonen Vasquez didn't like the previous design.
* When Bill and Dib are driving around, the sounds of animals being run over can be heard.
* Count Cocofang might be a parody of Count Chocula.
* Zim's transformation from the equinox is a homage to Tetsuo's transformation in Akira.
