Jamod is a small town in Jalgaon[1][2]. Jamod taluka in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra.[3][2]

The name "Jamod" comes from Jaha moze, which means place of enjoyment. Its old name was Virat Nagari[citation needed]. Jamod is situated on the base of the Satpuda hills,[2] which means seven hills together.
