I notice the copyright status of the image has been confirmed, but I think I still owe you an explanation as to why I tagged it as {{tl|PUIdisputed}} when you re-uploaded it. The reason was that the artist's website did not appear to corroborate the {{tl|GFDL}} template on the image page, hence I thought the image might not be GFDL-licensed as you claimed. In future, you can remove the possibility of this misunderstanding by linking to the copyright statement of the website you took the image from on the image's description page, with a statement similar to:
:According to <nowiki>http://www.example.com/copyright.html</nowiki>, this image is licensed under GFDL ''(replace "GFDL" with the correct license)''.
(This is in addition to the placement of {{tl|GFDL}} or another correct license template.)

==Image tagging for Image:Lecene.jpg==
Thanks for uploading '''[[:Image:Lecene.jpg]]'''. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

==[[Atheangelism]]==
I have added a "{{[[Template:prod|prod]]}}" template to the article [[Atheangelism]], suggesting that it be deleted according to the [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed deletion]] process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "[[Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not|What Wikipedia is not]]" and [[Wikipedia:Deletion policy|Wikipedia's deletion policy]]). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the <code><nowiki>{{dated prod}}</nowiki></code> notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on [[Talk:Atheangelism|its talk page]]. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the [[WP:PROD|proposed deletion process]], the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion criteria]] or it can be sent to [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion|Articles for Deletion]], where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. *If "atheistic evangelism" or "evangelical atheism" are much more conventional terms, shouldn't the article be renamed? I will later evaluate whether this theme is notable enough to warrant an article on Wikipedia, but for the time being, I'll let it stay. == RE: Atheistic Evangelism ==

Hi there, I have been looking over the article now and again and at stuff on the internet and today heard an interview with Richard Dawkins on NPR and I'm wondering how you would feel about a proposal to merge this article with the [[Atheism]] article? I do agree that it is a My feeling is that even with the name change it is still about a minor subset of the topic, Atheism rather than something unique enough for an article. Thanks in advance for your input!--[[User:Killing sparrows|killing sparrows]] 04:02, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

=== Response to Killing Sparrows ===

Killing Sparrows,

Sorry to take so long to respond. I note that "atheistic evangelism" is now part of the "anti-theism" page. I do object to this change.

"Anti-theism" is not a generally used term, indeed, it appears to be a term coined by atheists to soften the edge on atheism. Frankly, the term "atheistic evangelism" is more commonly used than the term "anti-theism" and I think taking down the "atheistic evangelism" page leaves Wikipedia open to the charge that it has an anti-Christian bias.

I would prefer to see "atheistic evangelism" remain as a separate article.

Thanks for asking for my thoughts, though.

==Speedy deletion of [[:Agile Project Leadership Network]]==
[[Image:Nuvola apps important.svg|48px|left]] A tag has been placed on [[:Agile Project Leadership Network]] requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under [[WP:CSD#G12|section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion]], because the article appears to be a blatant [[Wikipedia:Copyrights|copyright]] infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include ''on the external site'' the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the [http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html GNU Free Documentation License], Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at [[Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines|Wikipedia's policies and guidelines]] for more details, or ask a question [[Wikipedia:Village pump (assistance)|here]].

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding <code>{{tl|hangon}}</code> to '''the top of [[:Agile Project Leadership Network|the page]]''' (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on '''[[Talk:Agile Project Leadership Network|the article's talk page]]''' explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for ''speedy'' deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Andre Cailloux

[edit]

Thank you for your contribution of this article. I found it when I was editing the 1st Louisiana Native Guard article, which links to Captain Cailloux. I monitor Civil War articles as a part of the Civil War Task Force on Wikipedia, which is a group of editors that seek to continuously improve various articles. Use User:Hlj/CWediting as a guideline for future Civil War articles, and welcome aboard!!!! Scott Mingus 22:14, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello from Tennessee

[edit]

(In case you're not watching my talk page, which I also posted this reply.)

Hi Mpleahy, thanks for the note. It's nice to hear from someone with overlapping interests. I am actually approaching this from the Mexican point of view, and it's a little outside my usual time span. Most of my work has been on the colonial period in Mexico, but I'm hoping to exand that into 19th century independent Mexico. Rbraunwa 00:22, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to the Military history WikiProject!

[edit]

I notice the copyright status of the image has been confirmed, but I think I still owe you an explanation as to why I tagged it as {{PUIdisputed}} when you re-uploaded it. The reason was that the artist's website did not appear to corroborate the {{GFDL}} template on the image page, hence I thought the image might not be GFDL-licensed as you claimed. In future, you can remove the possibility of this misunderstanding by linking to the copyright statement of the website you took the image from on the image's description page, with a statement similar to:

According to http://www.example.com/copyright.html, this image is licensed under GFDL (replace "GFDL" with the correct license).

(This is in addition to the placement of {{GFDL}} or another correct license template.)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Atheangelism, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Julius Sahara 18:52, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • If "atheistic evangelism" or "evangelical atheism" are much more conventional terms, shouldn't the article be renamed? I will later evaluate whether this theme is notable enough to warrant an article on Wikipedia, but for the time being, I'll let it stay. Julius Sahara 17:37, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Atheistic Evangelism

[edit]

Hi there, I have been looking over the article now and again and at stuff on the internet and today heard an interview with Richard Dawkins on NPR and I'm wondering how you would feel about a proposal to merge this article with the Atheism article? I do agree that it is a My feeling is that even with the name change it is still about a minor subset of the topic, Atheism rather than something unique enough for an article. Thanks in advance for your input!--killing sparrows 04:02, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Response to Killing Sparrows

[edit]

Redirect of Colbert Effect

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Colbert Effect, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Colbert Effect is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Colbert Effect, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Agile Project Leadership Network, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://agileprojectmgt.org/aboutus.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. A tag has been placed on Agile Project Leadership Network requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Agile Project Leadership Network, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
