On November 27, 2007, [[Oswald Metzger]], elected in [[Biberach an der Riß|Biberach]], formally ended his membership in the [[Alliance '90/The Greens]], but stayed in the Landtag without a faction until, on February 18, 2008, [[Eugen Schlachter]] (member of [[Alliance '90/The Greens]]) took his seat, thus bringing the Greens faction to 17 seats again. Metzger then joined the CDU.
