|style="vertical-align: middle; padding: 3px;" | You have shown proficient editing skills through your edits, and nobody yet has thanked you yet. I promise I’ll conjure some WikiLove beers for us, but for now, take this incredibly safe yet spiky barnstar. Also, minor note, protecting your main user page if not a subpage is useless for semi, only blue lock and above do anything since an edit filter will deny access to new users and IPs. 😛 Have a great New Years, Nim. We all wish you a merry... New Years and a happy new year! Your contributions, numbering in many to this encyclopedia are remembered and highly appreciated. Thank you for your service. Thank you for the civility. Thank you for everything else I’d have to give you around ten barnstars for. I really appreciate your work. You are amazing. We appreciate what you do. I can tell you personally, I am extremely glad you are here. You are a presence that is the most wonderful thing here by all regards. Over all, I just want to thank you for everything. Keep at it. As an editor, you are extremely trustworthy and helpful. And, maybe someday, someone will need co-nominations for their RfA, and the RfB which they will surely pass. You are appreciated. I can’t even properly describe the good works you do. I would like to give praise to you, your legacy, and all that you have done. I salute you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. == BMW 3 Series lead image ==

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Selfie, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Couple<!-- (check to confirm&nbsp;|&nbsp;fix with Dab solver)-->.
Hi Nim. Happy 2019 to you, I hope you have a good year. <br/> Regarding the article models that span multiple generations, personally I think it is preferable for the lead image to be of the current generation. For the BMW 3 Series article, I agree that the previous G20 image was not of suitable quality. Given that the G20 has only been released recently, there's no rush to find a find a replacement for the current F30 image. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 00:11, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
::No, not really. WP:CARPIX specifies "...The image selected for an article's top (lead) infobox does not need to show any particular version or generation of the vehicle, such as the latest, the last, the first, the best-selling, or any other. However, the image must be representative; low-volume, obscure/unusual, or otherwise unrepresentative variants are generally not preferred for the lead infobox image. Vehicle production date is not a factor when determining the quality of an image and its suitability to illustrate the lead infobox. Regardless of the ages of the vehicle shown, pick a clear, high-quality image according to the image quality guidelines; one that clearly shows a vehicle relevant to the article without photoflash glare or other photographic faults, against a simple and contrasting background. Such an image is always to be preferred over a lower-quality image, such as one that shows photoflash glare or a distracting background." Thats why i did it, if it did not specify, then I'd do that :) --<span style="color:Red">Eurovision</span><span style="color:Gold">Nim</span> <i>(talk to me)</i><i>(see my edits)</i> 00:56, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

:::I just feel like my photos aren't valued. I'm going to be here on a part-time basis from March-October. I think with a topic ban coming up (see WP:ANI, I am not sure whether to contribute (I can't seem to find anything else worth to contribute). I won't be fully contributing to my extent. Also Davey2010, suggested for me to have a break, so that the problems with users can be alleviated. ::::Davey2010 I never disrupted the topic. You should have brought it to my attention earlier. I've never had intentions to disrupt it and I thought what I was doing by adding additional images looked ok. I never knew it was bad. In fact, I never uploaded my own. These were flickr uploads, but in the event that it is good to add and expand on images. Yes I know I went a little crazy adding my own, but I thought you wanted to have images which was good. If that's so, you should have brought it to my attention as every overhaul I have completed, I've left a talkpage message. But it does not seem to work. Look, the bus topic, I even left you a message but you did not answer. This is the classical example of a new method i am proposing but Oshwah rebutted it saying it was not worth it. My efforts seem to go a little unnoticed and I do apologise, but I do want to do my best to edit as good as possible but the addition of images like drone selfie and all the other examples were of a major bonus as this could bring up more points. I never replaced, not vandalised as this is not my character but I am getting sick of you reverting me for no apparent reason. --<span style="color:Red">Eurovision</span><span style="color:Gold">Nim</span> <i>(talk to me)</i><i>(see my edits)</i> 14:01, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi all, i've announced, due to the proposed topic ban at WP:ANI, I've decided to cease all editing activity permanently. I think its because automobiles have been my thing in the past, but its better for everyone. Have a good one all, and I'll probably return to editing soon.

When you want to quote a policy, can you please just do that. There is no need to include the "Any issues please direct it to User: Sjeintspen as this area is a policy users (including myself) are expected to abide by". Stop the nonsense Nim. If you are retired, then why is 202.58.170.123 doing exactly what you do all over the place? Uh oh... EurovisionNim, we need to have a talk...
Notice that you are now subject to community restrictions
You have violated your topic ban by editing the talk page of an article about an automobile. Not only did you edit the talk page of an article about an automobile, you started a discussion to replace an image about an automobile with another one. When you asked me on my user talk page about the closure of this discussion, I wasn't aware that the discussion was in relation to an image about an automobile and on a talk page of an article about an automobile, either. That was partially my fault; I should've looked at the discussion more in-depth before responding to your message asking if what you did was okay.
Per this community discussion, you are subject to the following restrictions:
* You are indefinitely banned from all edits and pages related to automobiles, broadly construed. You may appeal this restriction to the community at the administrator's noticeboard after six months.
* You are banned from interacting with Vauxford for a period of six months.
Both of these restrictions are subject to the usual exceptions. Please note that both of these can be appealed on the grounds of an incorrect close immediately in the usual venues; the time restriction on appealing the TBAN is where you accept that I have read consensus correctly but would like the community to give you another chance.

EurovisionNim, your topic ban is very clear. You cannot edit articles, talk pages of articles, or sections of other articles that relate to automobiles due to your topic ban. You can't participate in automobile-related discussions, or anything of that sort. You are topic-banned from automobiles, broadly construed - period. If you're not sure if your edit might violate your topic ban, it's better to assume that it will and to ask first before you do anything.
I do hope that your retirement is not permanent and that you return to constructive editing. GoldenRing (talk) 11:56, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

An administrator might certainly find that you've violated your topic ban and impose a temporary block for doing so. I'm not going to do that, because I hope that this message will get through to you and that you won't do this again. Please review Wikipedia's policy on topic bans and exactly what it means. It clearly states what you cannot do, and with a list of examples. Please do not violate your topic ban again. You likely won't receive another warning if you do, and an administrator will likely start imposing temporary blocks in order to enforce the ban (they usually start at 24 hours, then grow to 48 hours, and 72 hours, and so on for each subsequent time that you violate it).
ArbCom 2019 election voter message
Please please be careful, and please ask questions if you're not sure if you're going to violate your topic ban if you do something. I'd much rather help you before you potentially violate your topic ban than after the fact. :-) <b><span style="color:#C00000">~Oshwah~</span></b><small><b><span style="color:blue">(talk)</span> <span style="color:green">(contribs)</span></b></small> 11:57, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Block me I don't care anymore. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 13:53, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I did however I didn't quite expect you to go from disrupting one topic to a whole new load of them. Expand content sure but don't replace images or reduce them when there's no need too, Honestly I never like seeing people leave but since you've been here you've done nothing but disrupt the project. –Davey2010Talk 13:59, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Davey2010 I never disrupted the topic. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 14:01, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:EurovisionNim reported by User:Davey2010 (Result: ). Thank you. –Davey2010Talk 19:58, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Davey, many thanks. I think the only reason why they haven't taken action, is I left an apology. This was a one-off incident which would not happen again and yes, I should not have edit-warred. In fact, this is my only edit war. Hardly per say? --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 00:10, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Davey2010. Issue resolved on ANI. No action was taken against me as I apologised. Yes, i knew now what I did wrong. Heres the link. I've also started a discussion on Talk:MAN SL202. If you say the original is fine, I will back off. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 06:57, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

When you want to quote a policy, can you please just do that. There is no need to include the "Any issues please direct it to User: Sjeintspen as this area is a policy users (including myself) are expected to abide by". Sjeintspen (talk) 10:27, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sjeintspen. No worries, that can be done! How are you btw? --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 10:28, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Uh oh... EurovisionNim, we need to have a talk...

Please please be careful, and please ask questions if you're not sure if you're going to violate your topic ban if you do something. I'd much rather help you before you potentially violate your topic ban than after the fact. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:57, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Oshwah, that was my fault... I'm sorry, I will not do it again. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 11:59, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Look, Nim - I've seen you around on Wikipedia a fair bit and over at Oshwah's talk page, and I gather that you've made some positive contributions here before. I've been trying to get my head around what's happened here, and wanted to check in and ask how you were doing?
I do, however, want to make something very clear here: you cannot use mental health issues as an excuse to attack other editors, nor can you expect other editors to put up with it on the basis of these issues. I'm sorry, truly. Mental health issues suck - you get two guesses as to how I know this (I am doing well now, but wanted you to know you aren't alone and that a lot of us go through similar). But part of being here means you've got to interact with the rest of the community civilly and calmly. I will also echo what Oshwah said over at his talk page - it is best to refrain from editing after consuming alcohol! As a general rule, I won't come on here after I've had any, unless it's purely for the purpose of reading an article. Take some time off, get everything in order, and if you ever feel ready to apologise and return, I for one would be glad to see you back here. Take care, Patient Zerotalk 01:24, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: .  Bbb23 (talk) 17:18, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I stopped by to thank you for support in my July RfA

And I do appreciate your demonstration of support and trust. It appears since then you've been blocked indefinitely. I'm sorry to see that. If you are willing to wait it out some months (usually six and you're already in two) and apply for a fresh start, there's always the standard offer. Feel free to make request on your talk and I'll watch for it. BusterD (talk) 18:09, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
