The '''Journal of Statistics Education''' (JSE) was founded in 1993. It is published 4 times a year by the [[American Statistical Association]]. JSE promotes the enhancement of statistical literacy and statistics education at different levels -- from elementary to college education and the continuing training. It is distributed electronically and publishes articles of interest to statisticians, educators, practitioners, and other investigators. JSE audience includes teachers, educators and researchers in statistics, probability and science education, as well as people interested in research on statistical and probabilistic literacy. All JSE submissions are refereed rigorously using a double-blind peer review process. <ref name="JSE">{{cite web|url=http://www.amstat.org/publications/jse/jse_mission.htm |title=Journal of Statistics Education website|accessdate=2010-07-14|publisher=www.amstat.org}}</ref>.

== Topics and policies ==
JSE reviews, accepts and publishes manuscripts on statistics, probability and technology education. Specific topics include statistics education reform, use of team learning and joint projects, innovative instructional methods, learning assessment, statistical literacy, and distance learning. Literature and book review articles are also published <ref name="JSE">{{cite web|url=http://www.amstat.org/publications/jse/jse_mission.htm |title=Journal of Statistics Education website|accessdate=2010-07-14|publisher=www.amstat.org}}</ref>

== Refereeing ==
Articles submitted to JSE undergo a rigorous peer-review process by the JSE Editor, an Associate Editor and two outside referees. The refereeing process is double-blind -- both authors and referees are anonymized. <ref name="JSE Refereeing">{{cite web|url=http://www.amstat.org/publications/jse/jse_author_info.htm |title=Journal of Statistics Education refereeing|accessdate=2010-07-14|publisher=www.amstat.org}}</ref>

== Scope ==
JSE publishes manuscripts on curricular reform in statistics, efficacy of group learning and joint projects, innovative pedagogical techniques, case studies, general understanding of probability and statistics, statistical literacy, research on the teaching of statistics, attitudes and beliefs about statistics, the use of computers and other media in teaching, statistical literacy, distance education, and other relevant findings.
