Hello, Stara Marusya. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of longest rivers in Eurasia".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. <!-- Template:Db-draft-deleted --><!-- Template:Db-csd-deleted-custom --> <span style="font-family:Papyrus; color:#800080;">Liz</span> <sup style="font-family: Times New Roman; color: #006400;">Read! Talk!</sup> 17:22, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Stara Marusya, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.

The Change that you did to the Womens right in saudi arabia (image change) was disingenuous and unnecessary, the Law forbidding saudi women to leave the country without a male guardians aproval has been removed a long time ago.. IbnTawfik (talk) 18:15, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
 1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
 2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
 3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
 4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
 5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like , copy the whole thing).
 6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
 7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
References
Reflist
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hellenic Police, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Golden Dawn. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Anarchism

[edit]

Hi Stara Marusya,

I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!

And if you're looking for other juicy places to edit, consider expanding a stub, adopting a cleanup category, or participating in one of our current formal discussions.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 05:54, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Wehrmacht into German Army (1935–1945). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:50, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Arctic naval operations of World War II

[edit]

We seem to have differing opinions regarding subject article's description of use of the Bering Strait for wartime logistics transport. My thought was to initially summarize strategic importance of the Arctic Ocean, and then chronologically describe the military engagements related to disrupting or protecting those strategic uses. Your most recent edit summary suggests the information you deleted is "detail that can be more usefully detailed later in the article." I encourage you to implement that suggestion. Failure to implement that suggestion casts doubt on its validity. I intend to restore the deleted information as originally presented if the suggestion is not implemented. Thewellman (talk) 17:46, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Thewellman, there was a year-by-year list of voyages on the Pacific Route that I felt was unsuitable for the introduction. I summarised it, and it can be broken down in appropriate detail in the main part of the article.Stara Marusya (talk) 07:05, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you have a concept as to how it can be broken down, I encourage you to make that change. I shall restore the original format until you are prepared to do so. Thewellman (talk) 07:58, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Standard Notice.

[edit]

Something you haven’t seen before.

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Balkans or Eastern Europe. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

When checking attached refs, ensure you check to see if there is an archived url included. If so, then go by that url, and not the first one. While the first one may be "dead", the archived one will likely be active. - wolf 18:00, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As a relatively new editor, you should stay away from controversial and complex articles such as this one. Get some more experience working of shorter and less important articles before you branch out into harder and longer ones. Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:59, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Many of your edits I've looked at are less than acceptable. I suggest you resist the impulse to remove large blocks of texts, or to "clean up" or "trim" which involves making large changes, and instead concentrate on more precise editing. Beyond My Ken (talk) 06:06, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will discuss this with you at Talk:Nazi Party. Stara Marusya (talk) 16:00, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WWII in Yugoslavia

[edit]

May I ask what was the reason for downgrading the genocide by the Chetniks down to “war crimes” when in the edit summary stating you were simply moving the paragraphs from the intro to the other section? OyMosby (talk) 20:34, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Because the linked article is about war crimes, as per its title. Stara Marusya (talk) 20:28, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Except the article is about genocide as well as stated in its intro pertaining to actions towards Muslims and Croats which was what is specifically talked about in the paragraph you edited. That doesn’t make sense for removing the genocide fact from the sentence. Sourced with multiple citations as well. Listed on the genocide article also. Changing it from genocide ignores the cited sources. Best practice not to do that. Titles can be renamed through link piping when looking to reference articles. Allows for the sentence to be accurate while still being able to link to other articles for further reading. OyMosby (talk) 21:00, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But not all of its war crimes were genocide, which is presumably why the article is named thus. So the pipe is misleading. Stara Marusya (talk) 21:15, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I sorta understand where you are coming from. But. There is quite literally a section in the article called “Genocide of Muslims and Croats”. If title was the issue you could have linked to that section as many articles on Wikipedia due when referring readers to further reading and a article happens to have expanded discussion on a related topic even if the whole article isn’t about it. Though this one seems to mainly be. And regardless, how would it make sense to remove “genocide” from the sentence in the WWII in Yugoslavia article? That seems far more misleading. As for article titles. The Genocide of Serbs article was only in recent years changed from “Persecution of Serbs”. The article content was still about to the mass genocide the Ustashe carried out. Issues with titles can be taken up on the respective articles talk pages really. They are always evolving even the titles. But that’s a whole other can of worms when it comes to Balkan related articles. It’s why admin put these articles under a special restricted warning because of issue that arise. Much like any war or war crime related articles. You probably notice on any of the WWII articles.
Also another misleading issue I noticed though another editor apparently addressed it, is the paragraph you replaced all the text with in the intro describing “genocide and ethnic cleansing” being carried out by Axis forces and collaborators such as the Ustashe and no mention of the Chetniks at all, who collaborated more than not. As if the Partisans were engaging in more of a crime activities than the Chetniks. It comes across really strange from the surface. Chetnik war crime article info box even lists these attributes. Especially as these articles are highly controversial and plagued with edit wars at times. Hence the “Standard Notice” you got in January. Don’t worry, all us editors who edit those areas get that warning. It’s not because of anything wrong one did. So perhaps you can see my point? I hope you don’t take any of this the wrong way. As a new editor, just wanted to make you aware of these things. I hope you don’t take this as discouraging as I see you make many great edits on Wikipedia. Cheers. OyMosby (talk) 22:10, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The current pipe is misleading, and it's not true that the Chetniks collaborated with the Nazis more than the Ustase. Stara Marusya (talk) 22:51, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm TylerBurden. I noticed that you recently removed content from Continuation War without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. TylerBurden (talk) 20:37, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tyler, I removed redundant content, I had hoped this would be obvious. Stara Marusya (talk) 21:35, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Removing content that the Soviet offensive was halted I wouldn't call redundant, and apparently another editor agreed since they restored it. TylerBurden (talk) 22:59, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See also the meaning of WP:MINOR edits. TylerBurden (talk) 15:41, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't agree. I wrote it ended in August. That's a halt. Stara Marusya (talk) 15:49, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all what I am seeing in the actual diff, you simply removed any mention of it being halted by the Finns. TylerBurden (talk) 15:51, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Had you other candidates in mind? Stara Marusya (talk) 20:19, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No idea what you mean by this, perhaps you could clarify. TylerBurden (talk) 01:19, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for failing to reply to your reply at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2018–2020 Irish anti-immigration protests. I'm only active in fits and starts and didn't get back to that discussion before it was closed. If you think it would be useful for me to follow up on those points, feel free to begin a new discussion at the other article's talk page and ping me. Separately—just letting you know while I'm here—I'm leaning towards nominating the new redirect at 2018–2020 Irish anti-immigration protests at RfD, as I don't think it's currently reflecting what's in the target or the consensus at AfD. (If I do I'll try to do a better job of replying to things, but no guarantees.) – Arms & Hearts (talk) 17:57, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect 2018–2020 Irish anti-immigration protests has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines.
