Article Evaluation: This article is good in nature but can also use some more detail, like about the police officer who got the call over his radio the evening that the bodies were discovered and how that summer, in Waco had been a particularly violent one. More detail could be added on how the media had already been there wanting to get the story about what happened and to whom. It states in the article how the lead investigator on the case was Marvin Horton, the lieutenant. What is not mentioned is how Seargent Truman Simons took control over the crime scene, instructing deputies to search the area and within a couple of minutes, the deputies discovered the body of a young blond woman. Detail about the condition the bodies were in when found are also not clear in the articles current state. Soon after the blond woman was discovered, another woman with dark hair was found in some weeds.
