Originally a silver mine?

My understanding was that the Anaconda Mine was a silver mine. Marcus Daly ran the mine for Hickey. When the bottom dropped out of the silver price, Daly (who supposedly speculated on the copper values in the mine ) bought Hickey out (cheaply) and re-started the operation as a copper mine with the financial backing as named in the article.BSMet94 (talk) 21:41, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
