This is a very interesting article about a virtually forgotten history of New York City. In my view it needs better sourcing, however. A single link to an anonymous blog post--itself not sourced--leaves me wondering about the accuracy of an otherwise fascinating topic.--Phil Studge (talk) 12:52, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

Sheet 11 of Mathew Drips' map from 1867 shows a "Thirteenth Avenue", one avenue west of Eleventh Avenue. Is there any explanation for this, or was the avenue simply mislabelled on that map? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 13:02, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Another?

[edit]

Sheet 11 of Mathew Drips' map from 1867 shows a "Thirteenth Avenue", one avenue west of Eleventh Avenue. Is there any explanation for this, or was the avenue simply mislabelled on that map? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 13:02, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
