I noticed that this article discusses the implementation of the VFC program, but doesn't mention any of its effects. It would be helpful to have a section on post-implementation effects/consequences so that readers can have a better idea of the VFC program's success. Epidemiological data on mortality rates of those affected by the vaccine's targeted diseases, both before and after the program, would also be very helpful in showing the effects of this program. It would be helpful to include state-level responses to the VFC program, such as examples on how states implemented this new policy. Were there any problems in terms of receiving an adequate supply of vaccines? How does the transfer from public health agencies to physicians' clinics work? It would be helpful to know if any complications came up from this process, or if there is any local-level data regarding the number of people served through this program. While I think it is helpful that the article presents a very neutral point of view, it may be beneficial to add content regarding the initial creation of this program. This could include any opposition creators of this policy faced or long-term effects that had to be considered. Information on who was affected by the creation of the VFC would be helpful as well, for it showcases the broader implications of healthcare policy and sheds light on who may really be benefitting from the program. I believe this article is very informative and touches on most key points. I found that it lacks much detail. The Vaccination for children program section could be improved if it were more vividly described. The paragraphs are short and do not go into great detail. Also I tried too sources number seven, eight, and ten and all were obsolete and did not show any content.[[User:Kyra.smith24|Kyra.smith24]] ([[User talk:Kyra.smith24|talk]]) 04:06, 13 February 2019 (UTC) |

Improvements to Article
[edit]I feel that this page can be improved with a few additions. One addition would be to add the recommended immunization schedules for all ages of children so parents/readers are able to print the schedule from the link. The CDC has these schedules available by age of child. I also feel that it would benefit the page to discuss the importance in depth of these vaccines, the illnesses they can avoid and the requirements of the schools. Each state differs, but many schools are now requiring the child be vaccinated with the TDAP and Menactra vaccine before entry to junior high. Places that parents can bring their children to receive the vaccines would also be a positive benefit. Again, each state differs, but there are multiple places the parent can go.
