Wrong title
You have mis-spelt the title of the station - see http://www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/stations/TRE/ - it's Trefforest with a double 'f' - although often mis-spelt in English with a single 'f', the name displayed at both the station (I was there this week!) and on the Arriva Trains website is with a double 'f' which would be the correct spelling. Please change this! Dewi DewiMR (talk) 00:29, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
:As you note, the website of Arriva Trains Wales uses the Welsh spelling; and I see that National Rail Enquiries also do so. Per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (UK stations), we normally go by the name shown on the platform nameboards; for bilingual signs (e.g. Cardiff Central/Caerdydd Canolog) we use the English spelling. It seems that the name of this article has been back and forth several times (see here and here). So, whilst I'm willing to believe you, I'd like to invite comments from others before moving the page. --<span style="color:#a80000; background:#ffeeee; text-decoration:inherit">Red</span>rose64 (talk) 12:39, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
:The last time I was there, the station's signs displayed "Treforest Estate" in English and "Ystad Trefforest" in Welsh. "Trefforest Estate" would be an English/Welsh hybrid, a bit like writing "Cardiff Canolog" or "Caerdydd Central". See also the naming of the article on Treforest itself. Without seeing any evidence that the spelling on the station signs has been changed, I would maintain that this article is correctly named.–<span style="font-variant:small-caps"><span style="color:red;">Signal</span><span style="color:green;">head</span>&nbsp;<span style="color:black;">&lt;<small>&nbsp;T&nbsp;</small>&gt;</span></span> 22:55, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Wrong title

[edit]

You have mis-spelt the title of the station - see http://www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/stations/TRE/ - it's Trefforest with a double 'f' - although often mis-spelt in English with a single 'f', the name displayed at both the station (I was there this week!) and on the Arriva Trains website is with a double 'f' which would be the correct spelling. Please change this! Dewi DewiMR (talk) 00:29, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As you note, the website of Arriva Trains Wales uses the Welsh spelling; and I see that National Rail Enquiries also do so. --Redrose64 (talk) 12:39, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The last time I was there, the station's signs displayed "Treforest Estate" in English and "Ystad Trefforest" in Welsh. "Trefforest Estate" would be an English/Welsh hybrid, a bit like writing "Cardiff Canolog" or "Caerdydd Central". See also the naming of the article on Treforest itself. Without seeing any evidence that the spelling on the station signs has been changed, I would maintain that this article is correctly named.–Signalhead < T > 22:55, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
