His last name wasn't Schneersohn. His last name was Boruchovitz (Berkowitz) - Son of Boruch. He was the "Schneur" that all the Schneer-sons were named after. His son Dov Ber used the last name Schneuri and his grandson Reb [[Menachem_Mendel_Schneersohn | Menachem Mendel]], the Tzemach Tzedek was the first to use the last name Schneersohn.[[User:Pikipiki|pikipiki]] ([[User talk:Pikipiki|talk]]) 09:26, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Why does this page redirect to Reb Schneur Zalmen?

His last name wasn't Schneersohn. His last name was Boruchovitz (Berkowitz) - Son of Boruch. He was the "Schneur" that all the Schneer-sons were named after.
