Is it really appropriate to list a select few brands? What's the criteria here?

'I am not really any expert on coffee, but there seems to be minor error here. Under Cafe Latte the article says that the proportions should be 1:1 with coffee/espresso and milk. While just below, in the category Cafe Mocha the article says that the proportions should be the same as in Cafe Latte, with one third espresso.

Irish Coffee?
Piccolo Latte
I'm no coffee expert, but the coffee I always order in Australia is a "Piccolo" which seems to be pretty well described in . By my understanding it is pretty similar to a Cortado, it may be a synonym for a Cortado? Every barista I ever encounter in Sydney knows what a Piccolo is, so I figure it's worth including on the "List of coffee drinks" page, but I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable to write it.
The article states that an Irish Coffee is a combination of (for some strange reason) specifically Bailey's Iirish Cream liqeur and Coffee. From my experience, Irish Coffee is a combination of Irish Whiskey, Coffee, Brown Sugar and Cream. :As is mine. I think the confusion comes from the combination of whiskey and cream - in this instance the two are separate ingredients added to the same beverage. I've fixed the reference to be more accurate. == Antoccino and Espresso Romano? ==

I agree, this is an Australia-originated drink I believe. It should be included here. - 73.166.81.129 (talk) 16:45, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Who ever included these two? Where are they from? I just found, for Antoccino, a couple of sites which cannot be considered a reliable source: Antoccino has no meaning at all in Italian language ("priceless" simply is "senza prezzo"). Roman colleagues assured me that Espresso Romano cannot be found in Rome. I then modified the voices, to point out that they have nothing to do with Italy (because some site is already taking them as typical Italian coffees). I would also suggest to give some reliable source about, or to remove them.

A related note that probably doesn't merit its own heading: the term Canadiano has significant circulation to refer to a blend of espresso and slow-brewed coffee in Canada. May be worth including for anyone looking to update this page in the future. <!-- Template:Unsigned IP --><small class="autosigned">—&nbsp;Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:1970:4CDA:1100:D11E:5B8A:3E47:F8EF (talk) 19:35, 30 December 2019 (UTC)</small> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

In the lead and then throughout this page "coffee" is used to refer to filter, percolator, drip, french press and other 'slow' methods of coffee preparation. This usage is not universal, in Australia the word "coffee" unmodified would either refer to espresso (when referring to a cafe or take away coffee) but either espresso, french press or percolator if in the home (in which case it simply means whatever coffee is available). The word "coffee" never refers to drip or filter coffee in Australia (these being essentially unavailable outside American chains). Under Ristretto, we may see:

The opposite of a ristretto is a lungo, which is typically double the shot volume. Ristretto means "limited" or "restricted" in Italian whereas lungo means "long."[citation needed]

It has no apparent reason, and I do hope that a simple translation does not need it (it is plenty of dictionaries and translation services online). I propose this citation needed to be deleted.

Adding definitions of cappucino and caffe latte
In the list of espresso drinks, every drink has a little definition except cappucino and caffe latte, which just have the ”Main article:” line.

I think cappucino and caffe latte should also have short definitions, but I don’t have any experience with that template. I hope someone who has can add them. Panchamkauns (talk) 09:40, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
