Fair use rationale for Image:Simant.jpg
:Image:Simant.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. I played the macintosh version of this and In that version there was a option that was called "Silly". When you turned it on the ants would say stuff in little text boxes and it could be pretty funny... For example, The queen ant would say stuff like "To think I gave up flying for this?" And soldier ants would say "Your queen wears army boots!" To other ants that they would fight.

This mode also existed in the Amiga version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.234.106.197 (talk) 13:05, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Tie-in with book?

[edit]

Is there a relationship between Sim Ant and the book The Ants, by some French with a name ending in -er? From memory, they appeared at the same time, and i thought then that The Ants influenced SimAnt.

Amiga version

[edit]

In the Amiga version of the game, you could dig into the red ants' nest by digging around the bottom area of your own. Was this feature / easter egg present in editions of the game for other platforms?

I remember that feature on the Mac version, so I assume so. -Peter
FWIW, the PC version also had that trait. IMO, it made the game far too easy. -Fuzzy 04:45, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshots?

[edit]

If there are no copyright issues and anyone's interested, I could get some screenshots from my copy pretty quickly. CrossEyed7 23:34, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Simant.jpg

[edit]

Image:Simant.jpg is being used on this article.

Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
