Hi Sharleen, |
(that is linked to at the botton of the article in "External links") is - in part - strikingly similar to the article itself. |
My name is Alfred Anthony Molinari, and I have been trying for a few years to record my family tree. I have had reasonable success on my Father's side who's name was Anthony Alfred Molinari. |
I have had no luck on my Mother's side who's name was Catherine Cefai, I remember from childhood she has a sister in Scotland (no name), I do remember my cousin Joyce (married to Bill) living in Balloch, also Joyce had Brothers Frank, Leslie, and Eddie, who were once living in Ealing London. As a teenager I stayed in Balloch several times with my cousin Joyce, I remember she had two children a Boy and girl, Bill her husband was a sea Captain, as was one of her Brothers Frank or Eddie, who was taking his Masters certificate at the time of my last visit. I believe you may be the Daughter of Frank, Eddie, or Leslie. If you are then may be someone in your family could help me with my family tree. |

Is it possible to use more of a "closeup" picture of Sharleen to head the article? I can hardly make her out from the one that's there at present. |

This article is far too focussed on Texas. There already is a Wikipedia article on the band. SS's article should focus on her. |
Also, there is some redundancy in the writing. |
For example, "she co-founded the band while still a hairdresser" is repeated. |

:I think that Geography might also be a useful subject to take: Bellshill is not “nearby” to Balloch, as the article suggests; it’s over thirty miles away, and on completely the other side of Glasgow. I realize that some may argue that it’s “nearby” comparative to Tokyo or Sydney Australia, but would suggest that dropping it entirely removes any sense of false proxiity. The bulk of the article is essentially a robotic list of chart statistics - "the next single was released on DATE, reaching #3 in its first week before dropping to #6 in its second week and then dropping to #17 in its third week and then dropping to #26 in its fourth week etc". It feels computer-generated and it's horrible to read because it says almost nothing about the subject. What went wrong? I've re-worked another image on the Commons to make it suitable for use in the infobox, as I thought the background of the previous image, and the previous version of the new image, was a little distracting. The new image is more focussed on the subject.
