in Camden Hill Road?
[edit]I remember a linguists' club in or near Camden Hill road. About 1960. does anybody have informations? Or was that Niddry lodge?--Hans Eo (talk) 19:37, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes that was Teddy Pilley's Linguists' Club. Niddry Lodge was a grand old building; the entrance was actually on Holland Street, but the grounds were bounded on the west-side by Campden Hill Road. Have a look at the old map in this write-up. The smaller building, on the east-side of Niddry Lodge, was the 'mews' for the main house, including old stables and garages, and servants' quarters. Niddry Lodge was demolished in 1972. --Boy.bowen (talk) 02:25, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! My English was much improved there. --Hans Eo (talk) 14:45, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
