''USA Records'' was a [[Chicago]] based record label founded in 1960 by record distributor Jim Golden. The label's office was located across from [[Chess Records]] and Paul Glass' Allstate Records Distributing Co., which was Chess' regional distributor. Paul Glass, the 1955 founder of Allstate Records Distributing Co., one of the largest independent distributors in the country at the time. Glass was a pioneer Chicago distributor of independent record labels. Paul Glass partnered with [[Marshall Neal]] , who was his #1 top distribution expert! No-one in the music industry could outdo Neal, he accurately kept release dates, charts, sales and numbers all in his head, never writing anything down. Glass later owned the USA Records label, which launched several local musical groups that became famous. While USA had a few regional hits, their biggest hit came in 1967 with the chart-topping "[[Kind of a Drag]]" by [[The Buckinghams]]. The label lasted until 1969.

USA Record Co., Inc. had its office at 1448 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60605, which was across the street from Chess Records and Glass's Allstate Distributors, Chess' regional distributor. While USA had a few regional hits, their biggest hit came in 1967 with the chart-topping "Kind of a Drag" by The Buckinghams. The label lasted until 1969.
