Date of birth

Date of birth is listed at 1935 at the top of the article. At the bottom it shows Categories: 1925 births. 74.38.235.231 (talk) 18:57, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

She was born in 35, EVERY source I have found, the Smithsonian etc etc all state, 1935.Coal town guy (talk) 23:36, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

From article: "After her passing it was reported in major media that she had been born on June 1, 1935, but her relatives and public records confirm the earlier date of June 1, 1925." The public records include the 1930 census which states that Hazel was then 5 years old. As of 2016, the Library of Congress Authority File record for Dickens shows her birth year as 1925.
