I am a resident of Euclid, and grew up in the North Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland, which is close by. It is sad, but quite true, that some parts of Euclid suffer from urban blight and associated problems. The same is true of other inner suburbs. Euclid Square Mall and much of Euclid Avenue are obviously blighted and run-down areas. At the same time, Euclid has some nice and noteworthy areas, such as "Old World Plaza" (East 185th Street, on the Cleveland border), and some beautiful residential areas such as Edgecliff Drive near the lake. It also has a large concentration of safe and affordable housing, a very accessible location near all major northeast area highways, and, for now at least, a sizeable and racially and ethnically heterogeneous middle class. |

Hello fellow Wikipedians, |
|||
I agree with the abve comment on Euclid's urban situation. While there are nice parts of the city, such as East 185th street, many parts of Euclid face the problems that are common with urbanization. Espicially the parts of Euclid that border Cleveland, and also by Collinwood and the Euclid Square all. Just Drive by the mall and East 200th and you will see. |
