Confusing line

despite the film's 21.6 million dollar opening set the record for a movie opening on Super Bowl XL weekend

Isn't there only one Super Bowl XL weekend therefore wouldn't it be pretty easy to set the record for that weekend? Is this supposed to be a record for ANY superbowl weekend? Someone who knows where this data came from might want to look into that. Stardust8212 17:18, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Okay, this really hit me

Anyone else notice how clichè and commercial this sounds? And as an introductory sentence no less. Please tell me it's not just me.

Edit: I read on two sentences and saw just how much worse this article manages to get within that short timeframe. The "plot summary" is so full of commercial tripe it practically oozes cheese. Someone please fix this. --Chef Brian 02:23, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Doubt....

In the end, in her dream in the hospital, does she really pick up the phone???? Because when I saw the movie, she just gets up from bed when a balloon pops, goes out, takes a look around, comes back in, the phone rings, she ignores it, closes the door and there comes the stranger... What?

Strange ending

I didn't quite understand the end of the film. Was Jill herself the murderer? Or was the whole thing just a product of her imagination?80.141.10.119 (talk) 10:44, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

Dubious information regarding a possible sequel starring Hayden Panettiere

"Screen Gems was initially planning to make a sequel rumored to be titled When a Stranger Returns with Hayden Panettiere set to star as the babysitter, in light of the film's box office success."

Please note I did not add that info to article, someone else did. This statement in the article had no sources attached to it. It might be true but just as likely to be made up. Can't find anything online about it, just on a Wiki mirror site. Then I looked deeper and did find two sources, but neither is great and both could have taken the info from this article. Still dubious. Added them anyway along with Better Source Needed and Unreliable Source? tags plus Dubious tag.

Might be easier to just remove this info from article and leave it here on talk page - unless anyone can find better sources or knows more info?
