Olympics medals

[edit]

I have re-worded the very poorly constructed and heavily biased text that we had previously. I can understand that some fans of Hoy may be disappointed by what happened, but the result is that she and the German team lost the medals. We should remain as neutral as possible - emotional stories are a bad idea. Accordingly I have made the section more neutral, simply stating what happened. If I have made any factual errors please could someone let me know here what they are?

I also believe that the bell rang when Hoy first crossed the line but that she ignored this. I could not find any text to support this in a free article, so I have left it out for now. If anyone could track this down it would be most helpful. John Smith's (talk) 22:14, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
