The original WVOK

These calls are legendary in the state of Alabama thanks to the long-time 50,000 Watt AM blowtorch in Birmingham. Heck, Vern Gosdin even recorded a song called "WVOK, Birmingham". This article needs a thorough history section to cover these decades of service to the people of Alabama.
