Type

[edit]

Under "type", this is listed as an ((ICBM)), presumably due to its range. Would it not be more accurate, however, to list it as SLBM, as a submarine (or any naval-based) ballistic missile is by definition not launched from a continental landmass? --Luftschiffritter5 1 (talk) 14:40, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Other SLBM articles list it as SLBM. I've changed it. Dziban303 (talk) 17:21, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Out of date as of December 2015

[edit]

The figures for in-service missiles (48) must be out of date. I believe that only 16 missiles are currently deployed aboard Temeraire. The other three Triomphant boats have been upgraded to carry the new M51 missile (well, the latest boat, Terrible, was built to carry the M51 from the start). Temeraire will be entering drydock in 2016 for her upgrade to carry the M51 missile, after which point the M45 will no longer be deployed. Unfortunately I don't have any sources with hard numbers, but I'll add them if I find them. Dziban303 (talk) 17:21, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Missing info

[edit]

Why is there an outer casing around the middle missile here:

? This is not explained in the article. --User123o987name (talk) 22:44, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
