It is the leading college in [[Chittoor district]], affiliated to [[Sri Venkateswara University]].  It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Sciences and Commerce. The campus is spread over an area of {{convert|54.8|acre}} with a student population of 3655, of which 928 are women and 67 are [[post-graduate|PG]] students. The college has 62 highly motivated and committed teachers on the faculty.
