:I just happened across this article and was wondering the same thing; I'd never heard the term "antisom" before either. A quick Google search leads me to believe it could be an Italian word/abbrev for antisubmarine but I'm not sure. I'm going to go ahead and change both occurrences to "antisubmarine". Feel free to revert me, but please point to a definition. [[User:Nibios|Nibios]] ([[User talk:Nibios|talk]]) 06:55, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

== Shipyard Naming ==

May I ask the protocol for shipyards that change ownership during construction (this happens quite a lot)

In this case it seems construction started with the company Navalmeccania and completed with the company Italcantieri - the Wiki EN artice uses Italcantieri, however refer https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vittorio_Veneto_(C_550) (Wiki IT) which uses both names. Antisom ?

[edit]

This article twice uses the word 'antisom' when from the context I am pretty sure that what is being talked about is antisubmarine activities. If there was just one instance I would have changed it but twice makes me think that someone actually meant it. Can anyone clarify is this s/b antisubmarine or is a word that I don't know?
