A small sliver situated between [[Bolton Hill]] and [[Upton, Baltimore|Upton]], '''Madison Park''' includes grand historic [[Terraced house|row homes]], large religious buildings, and open community spaces. A predominantly [[Jewish]] neighborhood at the turn of the century, Madison Park later became one of the city’s first black middle class areas. Much of Madison Park is within the Madison Park Historic District, which makes up both sides of four blocks of Madison Avenue near North Avenue. Earlier row homes in the area feature flat facades with ornate bracketed cornices. Later homes incorporate design elements from [[Second Empire architecture|Second Empire]], [[Queen Anne style architecture in the United States|Queen Anne]], and [[Romanesque Revival architecture|Romanesque Revival]] styles. The Belview-Manchester Apartments and the old Madison Avenue Temple are among the neighborhood’s significant individual buildings.

Madison Park is bounded by North Avenue to the north, Martin Luther King Boulevard to the south, Eutaw Place and Dolphin Street to the east, and McCulloh Street and Madison Avenue to the west. Adjacent neighborhoods are Reservoir Hill (north), Mount Vernon (south), Seton Hill (south), Bolton Hill (east), Mid-Town Belvedere (east), Upton (west), and Druid Heights (west).[2]
