DYK nomination

Later life?

The article starts out as a biography, but then heads into the works she wrote, from which it veers into the subsequent histories of those works (movies, etc., made from them). It never gets back to her life, and we're left wondering what happened. Other than her date of death (in the intro), we know nothing about her later life.
