Following a transfer of production from Elstree (sold by Central to become the [[BBC Elstree Centre]]), the show was made at Central's new studio complex in Nottingham. Due to the change of location, external shots used [[Derby County]]'s [[Baseball Ground]], with action cut in from County games which had been covered by Central. A change of club colours was made to those of the team, White & Blue. Series 2 of the programme provided scope to accommodate the changes, with storylines developed so to cover this off.

Nottingham was also one of the locations for the [[Central Junior Television Workshop]], and from S2 onwards, there is a marked change to the supporting cast around those of the main protagonists, to those cast from the workshop. Members included [[Chris Gascoyne]] and [[Pui Fan Lee]], who were both selected to appear in the show, and later would go on to further success.
