This game is called Wii Music, and contains orchestra, as well as a drum game. So I moved the page. Read Nintendo Power August issue. Bly1993 00:35, 29 June 2006 (UTC) |

EBGames.com has this title for pre-order with a release date of March 30 2007. Should we consider this to be convincing evidence of a North American release? --Billdorr 05:53, 14 October 2006 (UTC) |

I'm really interested in improving this article, so I've put together a checklist of things that could be done: |
<strike> |
*Gameplay |
** Information on the game controls. The controls in this game are really unique, and I think that some elaboration on the gestures required to use the instruments are important, but it shouldn't be over the top and entering the realm of game guide material. |
** How Jam Mode works. This section doesn't really detail how arranging a song works, and the game's interface is already enigmatic to many people. Expanding this section should help more people understand how the game works. The "List of Songs" should simply be integrated into this section and not as a subsection. Mention of implementation of various styles, like March and Hawaiian, is a plus. |
** Minigames. Much of this seems like Original Research, so a few sources are required. The list format ought to be dropped altogether and rewritten as a few paragraphs.</strike> |
The above was added to the article. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 05:28, 5 June 2011 (UTC) |
*Development |
== UK TV advert == |
**Pre-development, like initial ideas and motives |
***One of the four original games designed by Miyamoto and given top priority for the Wii |
***Miyamoto's desire to "bring the joy of playing music to people who have never played an instrument" |
***http://www.next-gen.biz/features/miyamoto-unplugged?page=0%2C1 |
**The actual development process, like experiments performed and any changes made to the design |
**Staff opinion on the development process |
*Reception |
**Impressions of the E3 2006 and 2008 demos. |
**The game's criticism outside reviews is a big one, especially from IGN. |
**Nintendo/Miyamoto's response to the reception |
**Very positive reception to the game should be highlighted, as it is arguably rare. |

These are some key things I like to add to the article. If any new ones come up, I'll add them to the list. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:08, 14 April 2011 (UTC) |

I've just seen my first Wii tv advert here in Britain, and it's pretty clearly using Wii Music as a basis. The ad simply shows two hands, each holding a remote, drumming, conducting the orchestra, etc, culminating in bringing the remotes together for a cymbal crash. It's definitely two remotes too, and not a remote and a nunchuk. How the actual game will compare to this ad remains to be seen, but I thought it worth mentioning anyway. There should be an intro paragarph at the top of this section. Currently It doesnt say anything about what this song is. I assume it is a confirmed song to be in the game but an intro is still needed. Mattyatty 18:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC) |

==TGS 2005== |

If you saw the video were the Wiimote was first unveiled on TGS 2005, you can very clearly tell that they are playing Wii Music. Why did they remove the TGS 2005 section in the history section? Willy105 01:58, 28 March 2007 (UTC) |

== Updated release dates == |

ign.com now shows release dates as: |
US: October 2007 |
Japan: December 31, 2007 |

Not sure if I should edit this directly, and the list_of_wii_games page. There are several other games due out this year that also recently gained more specific info for their release dates. |

==Fair use rationale for Image:Wii Music Orchestra game.jpg== |

:Image:Wii Music Orchestra game.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. |
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. |
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.<!-- Template:Missing rationale2 --> |

Suggestions for Article Improvement
[edit]I'm really interested in improving this article, so I've put together a checklist of things that could be done:
Gameplay- Information on the game controls. The controls in this game are really unique, and I think that some elaboration on the gestures required to use the instruments are important, but it shouldn't be over the top and entering the realm of game guide material.
- How Jam Mode works.
Minigames. Much of this seems like Original Research, so a few sources are required. The list format ought to be dropped altogether and rewritten as a few paragraphs.
The above was added to the article. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 05:28, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- Development
- Pre-development, like initial ideas and motives
- One of the four original games designed by Miyamoto and given top priority for the Wii
- Miyamoto's desire to "bring the joy of playing music to people who have never played an instrument"
- http://www.next-gen.biz/features/miyamoto-unplugged?page=0%2C1
- The actual development process, like experiments performed and any changes made to the design
- Staff opinion on the development process
- Pre-development, like initial ideas and motives
- Reception
- Impressions of the E3 2006 and 2008 demos.
- The game's criticism outside reviews is a big one, especially from IGN.
- Nintendo/Miyamoto's response to the reception
- Very positive reception to the game should be highlighted, as it is arguably rare.
These are some key things I like to add to the article. If any new ones come up, I'll add them to the list. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:08, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
