Conventional Media Links Not Related to WP:EVENT Above

I found these newspaper articles from the 1980s and 1990s to be helpful in bringing out the notable monopoly/price-war/predatory-pricing aspects of the immediate "post-deregulation" era. As stated in earlier votes/discussions of the notability of Suburban Express (whether to have an article or not at all), price-and-capacity "wars" were new and notable in the USA "back then". Subject's Self-Published Sources (from Archive.org)

Because the subject itself can be the source, some historical Suburban Express web pages from the Internet Archives, as suggested, should be referenced because they make un-exceptional claims about the "starts" of things along the company growth-path (usually +/- weeks, and near-always within 1 semester). It would be entirely "in character" for a bus company to accurately describe its services as-then-offered, and out of character to describe a phantom service.

I agree with the basic premise above; such sources can be used to support basic claims and data about the company and its products. I work a good bit on spaceflight-related articles and such sources are typically what we use to source the basic specs of launch vehicles and spacecraft. BTW, the article is about the company, Suburban Express, and thus Suburban Express is the subject of the article. I believe you meant the founder or company head dude by whatever title he might go by. If you agree, you might want to modify the title of this particular Talk page section. Cheers. 107.77.209.56 (talk) 03:39, 19 August 2023 (UTC) IP added a paragraph, deleted by another IP, stating that content required to be removed from website by consent decree remains on website. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? The content is apparently personal information, but deleting IP states that it's not PII under IL law. I do not know how to approach this situation.[reply]

It would be entirely "in character" for a bus company to accurately describe its services as-then-offered, and out of character to describe a phantom service.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? The content is apparently personal information, but deleting IP states that it's not PII under IL law. I do not know how to approach this situation.

It's a fair discussion to have- the founder and the company are very tightly linked, they get conflated in the articles, so it isn't 100% obvious what belongs and doesn't.

I think we all understand that reliable sources, doing journalism, have different ways of detailing (or oversimplifying) the Suburban Express - Owner/Exec - Allerton "thing"  Sometimes they say "Toeppen" but sometimes "Clients" or "Defendants"  Here, we're writing and reviewing an article about a bus company.  If an executive makes a company do a notable action, this is the article where we report that the company did a notable action. It is what sets being encyclopedic apart from other kinds of writing.
