The mandal headquarters is Prathipadu. It is an example for a modern village.
The village that is having the facilities at par with the towns. NH5 goes across Prathipadu. Prathipadu has very modern amenities like a very good government hospital, police station with sub-jail.

A good number of temples, churches and mosques are there. In Prathipadu village
an ancient temple of Lord Shiva is there which is called "Dandeswara Swamy Temple”.

Prathipadu is a village in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Prathipadu mandal of Guntur revenue division.[4] The village forms a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region and is under the jurisdiction of APCRDA.[5]
