I can't seem to edit this but I noticed while reading Finnegans Wake (published 1939) that he used the term "sheeples" - I decided to check if he was credited for first use. He doesn't appear to be. Perhaps it's an arguable case but I do think it is notable to note. FinnegansWiki (talk) 09:04, 1 August 2017 (UTC) |

Would be interesting to have an illustration of a man/sheep. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E35:8A8D:FE80:5F5:C0B6:6A84:361E (talk) 00:18, 6 August 2016 (UTC) |

:I second this. Would creating/commissioning such a thing count as 'original research'? LeviaThinMint (talk) 07:43, 26 November 2018 (UTC) |

Please remove "Another more contemporary use of the term was by Marc Maron on the Air America radio program The Marc Maron Show where his closing catchphrase was "Goodnight sheeple!" in clear reference to the George W. Bush administration". This is tagged with a citation needed tag, it makes an inference that is conjectural, and is not supported by any reference that indicates this usage is noteworthy (was it really a catchphrase or was it just used it a couple of times and then got added here by a superfan?).
