Is there a source for the origins of the name? It's cited in many places (mentioning that it's "Disney" spelled backwards), but I haven't been able to find when he was first given a name. Was it used by the animators on ''Fantasia'', or in the storyboards? Or did he receive the name later? -- Scott ''[[User:Scarecroe|scarecroe]] 21:17, 6 April 2006 (UTC)''

He's had the Yen Sid name within merchandising and other places for decades now. For example, he was the Y pin in a Disney Character alphabet set for example. --[[User:FigmentJedi|FigmentJedi]] 03:29, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Was it used by the animators on Fantasia, or in the storyboards? Or did he receive the name later? -- Scott scarecroe 21:17, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
