VIRU, tierra que me vio nacer ,donde parte de niñes pase, VIRU, capital de la historia y cultura PRE INCA -INKA del PERU, ES LA PROVINCIA MAS EXTENSA DE LA REGION,,guarda en su extenso territorio una gran cantidad de zonas y restos arqueologicos de las culturas pre inca e inca del peru, una tierra de grandes riquezas, naturales, culturales e historicas, de tierra prodigiosa para la agricultura, cual preciada era su fruta, y que cambio ha habido en estos tiempos con la presencia del proyecto Chavimochic, cambiando las epocas de cosechas y cambiando tambien la calidad de sus productos, viru tierra de historia leyenda y tradicion, tierra por donde paso los mochicas, chimus, la huaca de sante clara, el castillo de zaraque, el castillo de tomabal, el castillos de huancaco, queneto y sus ruinas de piedras, la isla de guañape,sus playas de chao y puerto mori,las dunas de pur pur, las cataratas de condornada, pueblo indio, ..entre tantos otros, que de salir a la luz, le daria otro giro y otra realidad para la economia del poblador viruñero. |

Historicamente, viru es desde las riveras del rio santa, hasta el alto salaverry en direccion hacia el cerro denominado , cerro "el inca", esta es la unica verdad. viru, una provincia que se ve abatida politicamente por ciertos intereses de algunos politiqueros, pasados y de turno, viru merece otro trato, viru se merece mucho mas atencion, para que salga todo a la luz, pues ver su verdadera fortelza, la converteria en el puente estrategico, tanto para el sur, norte y centro de la region,...esperamos que esta triste realidad cambien. viru. de historicas costumbres, tierra de fe y de tradicion. viru, significado para el nombre del PERU. |

Virú is a town in Northern Peru, capital of the province Virú in the region La Libertad. This town is located 48 km south Trujillo city and is primarily an agricultural center in the Viru Valley.
In the 1960s around 850 families lived in the town. Around 60% of the population worked in agriculture while the remaining 40% worked in shops and services. The town had a movie theater, a hospital and a secondary school.[1]
