Background
Galore Park is the leading publisher of educational resources for UK independent schools. Founded by former Classics teacher Nicholas Oulton in 1999, the Galore Park Group has expanded and now comprises Galore Park, Gresham, and the Independent Curriculum. Galore Park is also the publisher of the Good Schools Guide, and H E Marshall’s ever popular Our Island Story, cited by David Cameron to be his favourite childhood book .

Overview
Based in Tenterden, Kent, Galore Park was founded by Nicholas Oulton when, as a classics teacher, he became frustrated with the lack of rigorous textbooks available for pupils. To rectify the situation he wrote his own course, and the So You Really Want to Learn Latin series was born. “Embraced by Latin teachers all over the country" the course remains popular with teachers and home schoolers today. The So You Really Want to Learn series, (which is aimed at 10–13 year olds), has been “repeatedly recommended in the Daily Telegraph education pages” and has grown to include Maths, Science, English, Spanish, French, Geography and History courses.
Winner of the IPG Educational Publisher award in 2009, Galore Park has extended its range of textbooks to include: ISEB Revision Guides; Practice Exercises; Junior textbooks (for 7–11 year olds); A* GCSE/ International GCSE Study Guides; a Vocabulary range; and various other educational products.
Most of Galore Park’s textbooks are approved by the Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB) and are generally geared towards pupils of above average ability, particularly those preparing for the Common Entrance Examination and other entrance exams into selective schools at 11+ and 13+, including the Common Academic Scholarship Exam (CASE).
Galore Park is the sole distributor of ISEB Common Entrance past papers and is publisher for the Good Schools Guide, including publications such as Uni in the USA. Galore Park has also recently launched the Independent Curriculum, a more rigorous alternative to the National Curriculum, which is intended as a “more rounded preparation for Common Entrance – the senior school entrance exam.”
