==More Information==
Toutle is home to many famous residents. To name a few, Toutle is the former home of Stan Lee (R.I.P.), Kobe Bryant owns a treehouse on Waldon Island in the middle of Silver Lake, the likes of Britney Spears is known to fish along to Toutle river, and Donald Trump owns a cabin in the woods surrounding Toutle.

When nearby Mount Saint Helens erupted, it impacted the locals. Many residents made snow angels in the ash that rained down on the community, others lost their homes and had to rebuild with the help of friends and neighbors.

Toutle is a vibrant community and you are bound to know every person you run into whether it be in the local Post Office, Jule's Snack Shack, Red Leaf, or the school.

Toutle is an unincorporated community in Cowlitz County, Washington.

Etymology

Both the town and Toutle River, derive their name from a band of the Skillot people of the Chinookan tribe, the Hullooetell.[2]

Geography

Toutle is located 10 miles (16 km) east of Castle Rock along Washington State Route 504, which is also known as the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway.[3] Toutle is near Mount St. Helens and the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, which lies at the end of the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway.
