Wagholi will soon get connected with Metro railway as per the recent plan of the regime of Maharashtra. Wagholi is additionally kenned for furniture malls and a market for silk sarees.
This area comes under Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR). Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) is the Planning and Development Authority for the sustainable growth of the Pune Metropolitan Region. PMRDA aims to create the future of living and doing business with very high liveability index and to achieve world’s highest liveability index for its citizens. There are different plans rolled out for development of Wagholi.
