So after reading this article it seems that the only countries in the world with news TV are the USA and Canada? Eh? What a terrible article. If you are only able to write about a fraction of a topic (in this case just one sub-continent) then don't bother at all. Articles like this should be deleted. Missing US terminology?

So far, this is a pretty good article. I'm just a little concerned that, while the content makes sense to non-American audiences, it would be nice to figure out how to integrate both the U.S. terminology and the non-U.S. terminology. For example:

UK terminology US terminology remarks
presenter anchor
news bulletin / programme newscast In Britain bulletin=short news programme
news flash special report (sometimes)
running order rundown a technical term, I admit
news editor news director not to be confused with videotape editor
two-way crosstalk (sometimes), satellite interview (sometimes)
link toss assuming I'm understanding "link" correctly as meaning reporter introductions

I've noticed that in Wales at least, and the rest of Britain, terminology even varies between individual newsrooms e.g. spares/standbys, oovs/ulays, sot/clip...etc!!! How do we rectify this? 12:39, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Support merge into news broadcast, broadcast is the wider topic, and I'd support one article at that name.
