question?

[edit]

Article states it was organized by Allen Noonan, then in "1973 it was officially registered as The Universal Industrial Church of the New World Comforter whose article says that it was organized by someone else. Is this a contradiction? --Doncram (talk) 02:28, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

While in Berkeley he changed his last name from Noonan to Michael, he felt that a reference to Archangel Michael was more appropriate (understandably). His books are published under Allen Michael. I put "(formerly Noonan)" on the ufo religions page. Even though he became "Michael" and may have used that name when registering I would think its ok to keep on referring to him as Noonan in this article, for consistency.
