The population of this village is approximately 2500. This village comes under Gautam Budh Nagar, Member of Parliament constituency and [[Jewar]], Member of Legislative Assembly constituency and Jewar Development Block.

== Road / Rail Connectivity ==
The village is connected to [[GT Road]] via a link road. A railway line known as Khurja-Meerut also passes through the village. The nearby railway station (Maman) is far away from village, therefore people rarely travel by train.

== Health Services ==
There is a government hospital known as primary health centre (PHC) in the village. The services of private clinics and medical stores are also available in the village. Even though there is a PHC, but most of the village people are dependent on private clinics for medical services as most of the times government doctors in the hospital do not turn up. The condition of medical services in the hospital are pathetic. For any serious illness, the village people go to New Delhi or district hospila in Bulandshahr.

It is very unfortunate and sad that there are not many students who are academically doing good in the village. This is because of the deteriorating condition of state government schools.

The import thing is that the villagers put a lot of importance on the education of girls which is a very good sign for the whole society. It has been noticed in the recent past that sometimes girls' academic performance is better than boys and a number of girls are pursuing higher education. A fact worth mentioning is that few families have moved to nearby town just for their daughter's higher education as there is no degree college in the vicinity.
