JVC's corp HQ
[edit]Confirmed from http://www.jvc.com/company/index.jsp?pageID=6 - JVC USA is still in Wayne, NJ. Jeh (talk) 23:59, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
- I wasn't able to confirm that at the time, but since this was a case where that person has been trying to put in a lot of false information about Pennsylvania that have been confirmed as false, I thought this probably was, too. —RRabbit42 (talk) 18:15, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
- Yep. I've been watching those edits too. Jeh (talk) 21:15, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
User talk:Arik069 and other user talk pages
[edit]Hi. A user is allowed to remove messages from their talk page, with a few exceptions (limited essentially to declined unblock requests while still blocked), and it is considered an indication that they have read them. I have removed the messages that you restored, so please do not restore them again. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:06, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- I'll keep this in mind for the future. It appeared he was attempting to hide that he had been warned several times about his actions, and given the fact that he has been committing the same kind of vandalism under the same IP address of 68.172.41.107 here and over on Wikia, as well as on Wikia under the Arik069 and Arikhartnett accounts, I thought restoring those messages was appropriate. While poor behavior on different sites is not sufficient basis for setting blocks or issuing warnings, when it's the same kind of behavior or vandalism on multiple sites, my experiences has been that it's usually a pretty accurate indication that they are not going to change their behavior, especially when it takes place over a long period of time. —RRabbit42 (talk) 16:45, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Company logo for Zero Skateboards.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Company logo for Zero Skateboards.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:44, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop performing disruptive edits to the article, or you will be banned... BrickMaster02 (talk) 19:28, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware that I engaged in disruptive editing. I added a bit of info about merchandise for the show and you reverted it because it was "unsourced". So I thought about it for a couple of days, felt that it was still valid information and I put in where the product info can be found. This time, you kept the info and made adjustments to the citation to use the template designed for them. Leaving in the "Reflist" command was a mistake. I had it in there to make sure citation showed up correctly and simply forgot to remove it before I hit save.
- That was a couple of simple things that was easily fixed. Putting an official warning for a minor issue may be a bit of an overreaction. Warnings like this would normally be placed by an administrator or someone with content moderator-type rights, rather than a member of the general editing public.
- Rather than taking an aggressive or combative stance, why not try a gentler approach? Offer suggestions and advice. Things like this: "There's a template for citations so I updated your edit on the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur page to make use of it. I also cleaned up that references command you left in there. Maybe that was a mistake?"
- Not everyone's out to cause problems. An edit that could be better may just be a matter of not knowing how to do it better or a simple mistake. "Assume good faith" is one of the foundations of Wikipedia. Guide people though how to do it better when you can. —RRabbit42 (talk) 22:11, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
