history mess

Section is riddled with distracting/unnecessary notes. Reads like a know-it-all 4th grade english teacher marked it up. Weird flex. I propose deleting most of the notes, though some may serve as valid areas for improvement. Mihir.pethe1 (talk) 06:56, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I did find the same quote "Consumerism is deeply integrated into the daily life and the visual culture of the societies in which we live, often in ways that we do not even recognize" from an article written by Graeme Vincent Flett (www.journalofcontemporaryministry.com/index.php/jcm/article/download/9/59) in which he attributes the same quote to Sturken and Cartwright: Practices of Looking: An Introduction to Visual Culture. (2nd ed.). Oxford: Oxford University Press. (2009).
