== Career ==
After a period of entrepreneurial activity (1993–2004), Zhumangarin entered government service. He held various positions in the [[Aktobe Region|Aktobe]] regional administration, including Deputy Head of the Department of Economy and Budget Planning and Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship. He then moved to the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies, eventually becoming the Chairman of the Committee on Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition.<ref name="auto1"/>

He served as the Vice Minister of National Economy (2017–2019) and Collegium member (Minister) for Competition and Antitrust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (2019–2020). After returning to Kazakhstan, he served as the Chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition (2020–2022).<ref name="auto1"/><ref>{{cite web
