I couldn't work out who said what...
American reference
From Psychiatric evaluation:
I'm curious why the following book is listed as a reference:

//Graham Glancy, a forensic psychiatrist hired by Bernardo's chief defence lawyer, John Rosen, had offered an alternative theory to explain Homolka's behaviour, noted Williams in Invisible Darkness, his first book on the case. "She appears to be a classic example of hybristophilia, an individual who is sexually aroused by a partner's violent sexual behaviour, Glancy suggested."
* Flowers, Barri R. (October 15, 1996). The Sex Slave Murders : The Horrifying True Story of America's First Husband-and-Wife Serial Killers (New York: St Martin's, 1996) 0312959893.
Williams later reversed his opinion about her//

The first sentence is hard to follow and could perhaps do with some brackets or something. But if Williams is quoted merely as the source for Glancy's opinion, then we have not been told Williams's opinion, as people often mention opinions they do not agree with in academic writing, meaning that we have been told that Williams reversed his opinion without having been told what that opinion was!
From the title and a descrip at Amazon, it seems to be about U.S. serial killers only. But I don't have the book. Does anybody know if it was used as a reference in this aticle. It seemed to be added here first, in a resorting of the references (the only one added in the sort). --Rob 03:47, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Also, is the name of the defence lawyer necessary or helpful in that particular place, or does it just add to the difficulty of following the sentence?
:You are right, it shouldn't be there unless we are referencing the book elsewhere. In fact, ALL amazon URLs should go, to be replaced with ISBN numbers. --Yamla 03:52, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
::I just removed it. I think, maybe, what happened, was somebody added the link to the Amazon page, for the purpose of adertising. Then, later, somebody else converted it into the proper ISBN format, assuming the book was relevant. --Rob 03:57, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

:::Here's a thought: WHY would a US publication of 1996 contain references to Bernardo and Homolka??? when the Bernardo trial only took place in 95?????Freiherrin (talk) 23:36, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I was too confused to try to sort this out! FloweringOctopus (talk) 11:22, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
::::That's not an issue. A book published in 1996 could reasonably describe events that took place in 1995. (I don't know anything about this particular book, though, so I am not commenting on what, if anything, it says about Homolka and Bernardo.) --Metropolitan90 (talk) 01:25, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

It seems strange that an article on such a famous person would not contain a single photograph of her. Surely there is a public domain image out there that could be used?--Srleffler (talk) 06:05, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Partners
In the text of this article, the infobox has an entry for 'Partner'. This is not showing up in the actual article because the appropriate parameter under Template:Infobox criminal is actually 'partners' in the plural not singular. However it raises the question of whether the listed person should be mentioned at all. This parameter is supposed to be used for "other prominent criminal partners of this criminal". The person listed is herself a criminal, having met Karla in prison; however, they weren't partners in crime together, but rather sexual partners in the context of the prison environment. Should she be listed in the infobox? Dash77 (talk) 06:53, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

Killings
Need to respect the rules on biographies of living persons. No evidence of involvement in any killings besides those of Tammy Homolka, Leslie Mahaffy, and Kristen French. No evidence of involvement in any other crimes or alleged crimes of Bernardo.Dash77 (talk) 08:31, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

But if Williams is quoted merely as the source for Glancy's opinion, then we have not been told Williams's opinion, as people often mention opinions they do not agree with in academic writing, meaning that we have been told that Williams reversed his opinion without having been told what that opinion was!
