== History == |
The National Shrine of Ina Poon Bato is located at 1003 EDSA, Project 7, [[Veterans Village, Quezon City]], Philippines.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2020-10-30 |title=NSIPB |url=https://acc.org.ph/nsipb/ |access-date=2022-10-04 |website=ACC Website Staging |language=en}}</ref> |

=== First chapel === |
The first Ina Poon Bato church was once located at the northern end of EDSA in the community of Agham - Diliman. It was established in the 1980s and at the time was only a chapel. A monthly Cursillo class was held at the chapel.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2020-10-30 |title=NSIPB |url=https://acc.org.ph/nsipb/ |access-date=2022-10-04 |website=ACC Website Staging |language=en}}</ref> |
However, due to a government project under former President Joseph Estrada, the chapel was demolished to make way for the MRT-3 and its last train station on North Avenue.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2020-10-30 |title=NSIPB |url=https://acc.org.ph/nsipb/ |access-date=2022-10-04 |website=ACC Website Staging |language=en}}</ref> |
=== Current shrine === |
The current shrine was built as a replacement for the chapel that was destroyed by the MRT project. At the time, the Apostolic Catholic Church did not anticipate that the shrine, intended as a temporary replacement for the chapel, would become a national shrine and a cathedral.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2020-10-30 |title=NSIPB |url=https://acc.org.ph/nsipb/ |access-date=2022-10-04 |website=ACC Website Staging |language=en}}</ref> |
