Early life
[edit]Walsh was born on 27 March 1987 in Bradford, West Yorkshire.[1] She is the youngest of four children born to John and Diane Walsh.[2] She is the younger sister of Kimberley Walsh, a member of the pop group Girls Aloud, and Sally Walsh, who played the character of Lyn Hutchinson on the soap opera Emmerdale between 1997 and 2000.[3] They were raised with brother Adam in Allerton.[4]

In July 2014, Walsh joined the cast of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale as Tracy Metcalfe.[8][9] She was introduced as the girlfriend of established character Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and made her first appearance in the show on 7 July 2014.[10] Walsh had previously auditioned for the role of Rachel Breckle, which ultimately went to Gemma Oaten.[11] In June 2023, Walsh was announced as one of the contestants competing in the eighteenth series of Celebrity MasterChef.[12][13] She eventually reached the Final of the show, which was won by Wynne Evans.[14]
