Jackson's selection as a Playmate caused much controversy at the time, with [[Hugh Hefner]] and the magazine receiving a flood of letters, not all supportive, regarding the decision. Interestingly, the article that accompanied Jennifer's pictorial doesn't make any reference to her race or her "pioneering" status.
Jennifer Jackson Greene is from the south side of Chicago and graduated from [[Hirsch Metropolitan High School|Emil G. Hirsch High School]] in 1963. She is the daughter of Clynell Jackson Sr. and Marjorie McGuire Jackson. She is an identical twin. She has eight siblings.


She worked as a [[Playboy Bunny|Bunny]] at the [[Playboy Club]] in Chicago along with her twin sister Janis. According to ''The Playmate Book'', she is now a [[Social work|social worker]] who lives in the [[Pacific Northwest]] with her husband. She has three children and one grandchild.

Jennifer Jackson (born February 6, 1945) is an American model who was chosen as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the March 1965 issue.[1] She was the first black Playmate of the Month and was photographed by Pompeo Posar.[1] Jackson also worked as a Playboy Bunny in a Playboy Club.[2]
